Christmas Celebration at Grandma and Grandpa's House: A Special Family Gathering

 

December 24, 2023, our family decided to celebrate at our grandparents' house so they wouldn't feel lonely during Christmas. Probably because they didn't have anyone with them at home since our houses are far apart. We started packing our things with Mom for what we'd need because we were going to meet up at our cousins', uncles', and aunts' in hotel first. We got our things ready and left. While we were on the bus, I was already excited because I would see my cousins again it had been a long time since we last saw each other. We finally arrived at the hotel where our family would meet. I'm not entirely sure about the hotel's name, but I think it was called "Ace Hotel and Suites." We were a bit early, and we were the first ones there, so we waited inside until our cousins arrived. The hotel interior was nice. We finally met up with my cousins, and it was a bit awkward at first because it had been a while since we last saw each other, but the awkwardness faded when we saw that there was a water spa in the hotel. We started talking and catching up. We went inside the water spa, and it was beautiful. My cousin was doing all sorts of silly things, and we were just laughing, even though it was a bit embarrassing. My aunt scolded my cousin because he was causing mischief in the water spa. Finally, all of us family members were there, and we started to leave the water spa to eat and head to our grandparents' house.


We finally arrived at my grandparents' house. It was already evening when we got there, and my grandma was surprised by our arrival. She even cried because she hadn't seen us for a long time and she didn't feel our presence anymore. We rested at the house and slept until morning. December 25, 2023, Christmas Day, and many children were already coming to my grandma's house for caroling. We couldn't start playing yet because more were still coming. It was already noon when my aunt started the games, promising a cash prize for the winner. I won four times in my aunt's games, earning 400 pesos in total, a hundred pesos for each win. After that, we had a singing contest where the winner would receive 1000 pesos from my aunt. I joined immediately, but unfortunately, I didn't win as my cousin got a higher score. Once my aunt's games were over, my aunt and uncle started giving us money. They gave us each a hundred pesos, and I was happier because I had already collected a lot of money. I think I got around 1700 pesos from my aunts and uncles. We ate afterwards and started preparing our things because we were heading home.

As the afternoon came and we were heading back home, we took pictures to cherish the memories of our Christmas day. Grandma was in tears because she thought she wouldn't see us again, but my aunts and my mom reassured her that we would visit her house again for vacation. Before we left, Grandpa gave me 500 pesos and told me not to tell my cousins. I was ecstatic because I truly felt my grandparents' love for me. Perhaps it's because I grew up under their care, even though I used to be rebellious and often gave them headaches, their love for me never wavered. We headed home and began unpacking. This Christmas was so joyful and unforgettable, I'm truly grateful to my grandparents.

My Experience And Review on The Film Showing

  Our homeroom teacher announced that there would be a film showing at SM, and there would supposedly be exemptions from activities in other subjects, so I immediately joined. On April 18, 2024, the day of the film showing, there was some traffic on the way to SM, but I still managed to arrive on time. Once at SM, I saw my classmates also waiting to enter, and eventually, we were allowed inside. As we headed towards our cinema, I found myself wondering what we would be watching because we hadn't been told yet. We were already in front of our cinema, but our homeroom teacher was still absent as he had our tickets. We had no choice but to wait. Finally, our homeroom teacher arrived with our tickets, explaining that he was late due to traffic. he handed us the tickets, and we entered the cinema.
